Holidays put pressure on schedules of course, so I’ve been picking at this project in short moments of free time. Rescaling a rigged model is a bit tricky so I backtracked a bit, carefully making sure everything was clean and operational at each stage. The part I’m a little stuck on is the new Maya 2013 weight map copier. It doesn’t seem to be copying over my painted weights, and if possible I don’t want to have to remake them from scratch. So I’ll fiddle a bit more with copying painted weights to see if I’m causing the error in some way, but if necessary, I’ll redo them so all is not lost. Just a little bit more time consuming.

Can’t wait to get on to the animating. I really enjoy that stuff.
